The process is wonderfully simple, working in a similar way to a photo booth.
1. Guests stop by for just a moment while I take a quick photo — the entire process takes only a few seconds.
2. During the allotted time, I create each portrait. Each illustration takes about six minutes, and since I paint from a reference photo, there’s no need for guests to queue. They are free to continue enjoying the event, yet they’re always welcome to stop by and watch the painting unfold. Many guests take photos or videos of the process because it’s unique, captivating and unlike anything they’ve seen before.
3. Once a portrait is finished, it is displayed in a portable gallery I bring to the wedding or event, where the artwork can safely dry.
At the same time, the gallery becomes a small on-site exhibition for guests to enjoy. Many naturally stop by to browse the illustrations and try to guess who is featured in each piece, adding a playful and social element to the experience.
4. Once the illustrations are fully dry, I carefully wrap each one in protective film and add a labeled sticker. This way, guests can effortlessly collect their finished artwork directly from the gallery display.
